How do I request something through interlibrary loan?
To request the loan of a book, or a photocopy from a journal NOT held in the Blessing Health Professions Library, click on 'Article Request' or 'Book Request' to fill out a form. You may also call, e-mail, or fax the library. Please be aware that libraries rarely loan materials in such non-print formats as videos, compact discs, software, or dissertations, theses, entire journal volumes/issues, and rare books.
How much does it cost?
Interlibrary Loan services are available to the Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing faculty, staff, students, and Blessing Hospital employees. Occasionally, there is a charge. We ask that you use discretion when requesting materials. Please request only what you need.
How long does it take to get a journal article?
Journal articles generally take 1-3 days if they can be obtained locally, and up to a week (5-7 days) if they have to be sent out of the region. To help you get the material that you need as quickly as possible, provide as complete as citation on the interlibrary loan form as possible.
How long does it take to get a book?
Books generally take about 1-2 weeks. All books are loaned for a period of at least two weeks. If you need your book longer, you may be able to renew your book before the due date if you call the library.
